Inspired by Alison Knowles’ House of Dust (1967), I used a simple rule-based system to create varied prompts, which became starting points for workshops and small public events.

These gatherings shaped the magazine, making it both a reflection on play in the city and an open invitation to participate.

At the heart of the site is an interactive tool: a marquee that continuously scrolls a “base” of all the words used across issues. Hovering over selected prompts reveals their connections and
takes the visitor directly to the part of an issue where that prompt was used. Instead of navigating linearly, readers can jump between contexts, discovering how different prompts unfold across the publication.
